Seven AFP photojournalists win awards at the 74th Pictures Of the Year international (POYi).
The 2017 World Press Photo jury awarded prizes to three AFP photo journalists.
With the French presidential election approaching, AFP is taking part in two initiatives aimed at fighting fake news. The Agency is joining initiatives by the First Draft network, which is launching the CrossCheck project, and Facebook, with its fact checking tool that is incorporated into the social network.
At the 20 December 2016 Meeting of AFP's Board of Directors, Chairman and CEO Emmanuel Hoog presented a business development plan focusing on two priorities: video and corporate.
